Question by Xander: Any good recipes to use for a propane grill?
I just received my first grill, a propane burning grill. I don’t have a lot of experience on it, so I was wondering if there were any grillmasters out there that might be willing to share any recipes or techniques. Thanks.

My best tip is to learn the in-direct heat cooking method. You start out with all of the burners on to heat up, then sear the protein on the grids. Once seared turn off one of the burners (preferably the center burner) and move the food to that spot, not over a flame. Close the lid and check the temp. every now and then until done. This way you won’t run the risk of burning or over-charring your food.

We marinate prawns/shrimps in Chinese powders they taste really good, you should do some of those with a flat mushroom covered in salt and pepper and grill that too along with some peppers.
Marinate a steak with salt and plenty of cracked peppers to give it that spicy taste and kind of crunchy texture.

Propane is clean burning so you can cook just about ANYTHING on it!!! I love grilled veggies like asparagus, corn, onions, squash, and so forth. As for meats, depending how you like them times and techniques vary. Just don’t over flip your food!

My favorite bbq recipe is to make your favorite meatloaf recipe but make it into small meatloaves about three per pound of meat. In a small pot combine equal parts of melted butter and ketchup. Brush the meatloaves at every turn till they are done in the middle. Extra sauce can be put on the meatloaves when they are dione. These are super yummy.
