Question by Tay: How to tell when Italian sausages are finished cooking?
Me and my friend are cooking italian sausages on the barbeque but we don’t know if they’re fully cooked. They’re orangeish inside. How do we know when they’re done?

They take a long time if you did not poach or boil in beer first.
When the juices run clear. When they cook they will seal and cook from the inside, do not poke them and break the skin, they will not be juicy as they could. be..

you take a knife or something pointy or sharp and you cut it open in the middle and see if you can’t spot any raw meat or juice that comes out without you pressuring the sausages, that’s how I usually tell

    hope that helps : ]

The best way is to put them into boiling water for about 15 min. then put on to the barbecue poking a few holes in each one with a folk and keep turning them on a low flame for about 10 to 15 min. You can cut a piece off and then test it to make sure it’s done.
