What is the benefit of cooking with better logs in Runescape?

Is there one? I haven’t found any information on it in RuneHQ. Also, does cooking on a range do better than any log? And how do you do it?

Better logs, such as yews, magics and so on burn A LOT longer then regular trees or willows.
That is the only difference. If you cook with bad logs, you will need to light more logs per a certain
amount of cooking you have done.
However, yews are expensive… use willows, they last long and are very cheap.

There are no cooking benefits, however you’ll burn less food on a range than on logs.

Hi. The higher your Firemaking level, the longer the logs burn for, so it is helpful for people who want to level up their Cooking level. I am not aware of any cooking benefits you may receive from burning food on logs – I don’t think there is any extra cooking experience. Different food in itself gives different experience, and you burn food less if you cook on a range (oven), the one in Lumbridge castle is most popular as it does burn food less than any other ranges. You only gain experience if the food is cooked successfully, if it is burned you will not receive any experience. It doesn’t matter if you cook the food on a log or on a range, it gains the same amount of experience. I hope this answers your question!

range is a very less chance of burning
lumbridge castle range has the least chance of burning
Better logs last for long time
in dungeoneering better logs are needed to prevent burning
