When cooking with a slow cooker, does high/low settings make a difference?

I am cooking a pork roast with veggies, know it will cook faster on the high setting, but will the settings affect the outcome of the meat, such as tenderness, or is it all simply a matter of how long you want to cook it for?

Cooked slower, the meat will be more tender…on high too, the vegetables might cook to mush…

i agree with the first Person to answer.
Try cooking on Low Setting. It will make everything Tender and delicous.
If you cook it on high it will make the Pork softer and less appitizing and the Veggies will be baby food.

if you use the high setting the meat will be done faster but you risk having dried pork. the low is the best i think, the pork will be tender and so will the veggies but it will take a little longer

If you are going to be home while slow cooking, I would start out on High to get things moving, then switch to Low to finish. The temp. setting will only affect the total cooking time, not the outcome of texture or taste.
